 P2 in 2012

Well, I thought I should start a new post with this new round and get here tonight before I go too long without posting and then fall behind more.
Loaded up on Sunday and Monday, so today was my first day on the low cal diet. I'm doing pretty good. My will power is high and I'm determined
to 'get 'er done!'

I can see how this gets old and tiring but I'm still quite excited about being on P2 only because I'm looking forward to results and getting into smaller
clothes. I was quite indulgent over the holidays but didn't guilt myself out about it since I wasn't totally piggy. I knew January 2nd was the day and so
I allowed myself some time off. Unfortunately I gained some weight back and I will have to lose pounds that were already shed a few shorts weeks ago,
but no matter, I'm looking forward not back!

1/9 -.8 I feel pretty good to get out of the weekend with a 2.4 loss. Weekends are hard for me.

1/12 +.4 Protein shake with strawberries for dinner and forgot that I'd already had my two servings of fruit. Ooops! Leaving out a fruit serving today to adjust.

1/16 -.4 Not sure what's going on since I was very strict this weekend and did not deviate even slightly from protocol. Being patient.
1/17 -1.2 End of plateau? Oh I hope so!!

Hi Jane,
Love the positive, upbeat attitude. Perfect - you enjoyed the holidays, indulged a bit and didn't pigout! We are human and its just not natural to not be able to enjoy some things. MODERATION (keep telling myself that. some day I'll be able to do it).

Yep - P2 eating sucks in my book, but man, the sliding is so worth it.

So slide, slide, slide!!!!

I'm not really surprised at my low loss this morning. Hubby and I went to dinner and I was so good!
Kind of made me peckish though, so I had some fat free cottage cheese when I got home. Still a downward move on the scale.

I've also concluded that the best part of a salad is the dressing.....oh I missed it!!

Man, a .8 loss for me is a great loss. I know what you mean though, we do want the higher numbers!!
WTG on the dinner last night - IT IS SUPER HARD, but so worth it.

Jane, .8 is a great loss! We just get spoiled the first few days with the big losses. If you were on Weight Watchers you'd be doing the happy dance with a .8 loss in a week! As long as it's coming off it's good!

Hi Jane!

I don't know you well but am anxious to fix that! We share most of my name, so you've got to be good people!!! LOL!

Great job on sliding this first week and I'll be joining you next week. When you have time, can you let us know your hcg journey. I'm just curious. If you want to know mine, just let me know and I'm happy to oblige.

(that sounds like a journal we should all keep for reference - 'our hcg journey' - where we started and where we are today. It would help if we get any new girls into the group. Just a thought!!)

I know you're right! A small loss is still something to feel good about and I do.
I saw a weight watcher's commercial on TV last night and it did say, in small print, that the average loss is one to two pounds per week.
I know that program works well for some and I have a girlfriend who swears by it, but that would be excruciating especially after being on HCG.

Janet, I swear I posted my HCG story but even I can't find the post????? So strange!

Nancy -- I'm a super texter LOL My kids all had phones as teenagers; however, I'm vigilant about my grammar even when texting.

1.6 FANTASTIC loss you super texter hcger!!!!!

Thrilled for you.

I love WW too and did well with it, and when I was getting sick of HCG, I thought about going back. However, what it didn't teach me was about processed foods and that MY body doesn't do well with carbs and other items. Plus I gained all the weight back. I'd lost about 60 pounds on it. But I'm for anything that works for anybody to get healthier!!!

Nancy,
My girlfriend uses WW for maintenance since she's at an ideal weight. She is a good influence on me because she does make healthy choices when she
eats and she keeps track through WW points. Carbs are my love and my enemy too, but it all comes down to habits and being aware of what is passing
your lips and I'm still on the learning curve with that. Closing your eyes while eating chocolate cake still has the same effect on your body as eating
chocolate cake with your eyes open!! (Dang it!) LOL

She's doing WW right!!! So happy for her. I just ate what I like WITHIN my points and it worked, but I didn't learn the importance of good choices. This tells me I didn't really do WW the way they had in mind.

Yum - chocolate cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carbs are my love and enemy too! Thank goodness I don't crave them like I used to.

Yeah CAKE!!!

I changed my picture. This is me on my wedding day in June 2001. I look so happy cutting into that cake don't I?

It's a good picture for inspiration too, since I was about 140 pounds that day and in a size 10.

Thank you! Losing weight makes me happy!!
I figure I'm about half way to where I want to be, but even now I feel pretty good and look so much better than I did a few short months ago.

The scale is essential to let me know it's working but for me it's more about the size of my clothes and how I look and feel in them.
I feel so much more confident and comfortable and I'm loving it!!!!!

thats the nice thing about hCG.... we get to see results quickly and when we are in slumps, oh boy, are we ever in slumps.....

For me when I don't drink enough water in a day... meaning I am not living in the restroom, I don't have great results on the scale for a few days. So, I just live with my Steelers Water Cup in my hands. Smile (like how I threw that reference in there? LOL)

Hey Jane -

We all hit plateaus and hard places during this journey.
Remember that what happens on the scale when its not happening can be a reminder that your body has to have time to adjust.
Stick with it - be good, your body will come down, it's only a matter of time!

When these things happen, sometimes we have to think about all the inches we are losing.
Sometimes I try on a pair of pants I couldn't wear before and it gives me a visual on inches

So we say, happy losing inches day Jane!
You keep going...the destination is well worth the journey!!!

Losing inches....YES!! My clothes feel so comfortable but I have clothes in the closet ready and waiting on me! Smile

Oh dear. I don't have a Steeler's cup.......LOL

I drank so much water the past couple of days and I think it helped.
